American Walnut Tall Desk on Stand, raised on tall tapered legs terminating on spade feet, the stand with one drawer, with original slide cover, the desk with slant front, dovetailed case, the interior fitted with four drawers and four compartments; the central prospect door with original lock and key; the desk of highly figured walnut with old finish, circa 1780. This desk has family provenance of Warner Hall in Gloucester, Virginia, ancestral seat of George Washington's grandparents. 33" wide, 24" deep, 45.5" tall.
